VIDEOS / DVDs

A note for our customers outside the US: there are 3 different and incompatible standard video systems used by various countries - NTSC (US, Canada & Japan), SECAM (France), and PAL (the rest of the world). Except where it says "PAL Video," all our videos are N.T.S.C. ONLY, which means that if you're in a non-NTSC country you'll either have to get them transferred or get a special tri-system deck. We do not have the means to transfer them ourselves. And believe it or not we do have some Beta videos.

AUGEN 07-3 VHS $9.10
Oddly high-quality video featuring live footage of many Caroliner hits through the ages, as well as scenes from the Mummer's Day Parade, kids' book style animation (pull the tab to make the tree reclaim a miner's peg leg), and lengthy shots of a black dog. SEIICHI YAMAMOTO
"The Murder Case of the Water Service Spectacles"
ME 001-3 video $19.65

GALAXY RANGERS
"10 Year Collection"
TOOHOO 10-3 VHS $11.00
A 60 minute collection of highlights from the original Japanese version of the Power Rangers, 1973-1982. The effects and monsters are much cheesier, sillier and lo-tech than what's being shown on American TV, with insane creatures like the pistol-head, stalagmite-head, clock-head, butterfly-head, and many many more. The weapons too are more diverse (and more violent), the most original being the football-spinning top explosive. Very fast-paced, with only the most outrageous action scenes, plus a great Japanese pop music soundtrack. Comes wrapped in paper with a cartoon cover and full color photos of the Rangers in formation. (TOO HOO-DOO-DOO-BAA-BAA)

EVOLUTION CONTROL COMMITTEE
"The Television will Not be Revolutionized"
ECCV 01-3 VHS $17.80
Is it music? Is it art? Or is it the bad punchline to some bland ad copy? How about Teddy Ruxspin as W.S. Burroughs? 76 minutes of the totally weird from the test market capitol of North America, Columbus OH. The ECC dares to soil your video screen with outmoded relics of A-V days long past, but who ARE these people? Why don't they just write some good love ballads? And are they REALLY any better than Hootie & the Blowfish? (MISC. VIDEO)

FEATURE PRESENTATION
"Barbie's Pals"
BARPAL 01-3 VHS $6.00
This is an x-rated Barbie & Ken (and son and alien and others) animation that's perfect for stag parties and not perfect for children. Made around 1979-80, this is a very short (5 minutes) tape but packed with explicit all-plastic action. (MISC. VIDEO)

FEATURE PRESENTATION
"Black Devil Doll From Hell"
BLACD 01-3 VHS $9.55

FEATURE PRESENTATION
"The Holy Mountain"
FPHM 01-3 VHS video $8.35
Jesus and his modern corporate bizarros out on a quest led by God, with the BEATLES filling the big budget. A Japanese edition, in English, of this eye-popping Jadorowsky film, rivaled only by his other efforts like "El Topo" and "Sante Sangre." In letterbox format, with Japanese subtitles. This is totally nuts! (MISC. VIDEOS)

FEATURE PRESENTATION
"The Last Days of Man on Earth"
LASTD 01-3 VHS $9.55
From the "Jerry Cornelius Chronicles" by Michael Moorcock comes one of the finest science fiction films made. The special effects recall other BBC efforts such as the Avengers series, but with a bizarre tale of Jerry globe hopping to seek revenge on his junkie brother and marry his sister, and ultimately being recruited as a homo superior hermaphrodite computer.
